The Go Wild team are throwing a huge party to celebrate the fact that brave Lauren Wild has completed her treatment for Lymphoma.

Lauren, who lives with her parents and older brother Sam in Alderley Edge, was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in December 2013. Having recently finished her chemotherapy and radiotherapy, friends and family are organising a Go Wild Party to celebrate and raise further funds for her campaign.

The Go Wild family event will take place on Saturday 21st June at Wilmslow Rugby Club, starting at 6.30pm. Entertainment will include live performance from the princesses from Disney's Frozen and local band The Lost 37. There will also be a raffle, auction, DJ and bar.

Lauren wanted to raise money for the two charities who have supported her throughout her treatment - Teenage Cancer Trust and Manchester Children's Hospital. She started with a target to raise £1,000, which was achieved in less than 24 hours. The team raised the target to £5,000 and then set a goal of raising £14,000 by Lauren's 14th birthday in July.

Through a series of events and with support from family and friends Lauren has already raised £18,000 and she is hoping the Go Wild Party will take them over the £20,000 mark.

Fundraising activities have included attending the Wilmslow Artisan Market, a street collection in Alderley Edge, jewellery party, hockey tournament in Alderley Edge, Go Green for Lauren days at Wilmslow High School (where Lauren goes), Gorsey Bank and Ashdene Primary School and a team also completed the Wilmslow Half Marathon.

Lauren's parents Phil and Jacqui Wild said "We have been truly amazed with the kindness and generosity that has been shown during our fundraising. The last six months have been incredibly tough, however the fundraising has provided a positive focus. Our last event on 21st June is both a finale for the Go Wild for Lauren fundraising and a celebration now treatment has been completed. We will however continue to support the cancer charities in the future."

In addition to the Go Wild Party, future fundraising events include the upcoming Lions Youth Brass Band concert on Friday, 6th June.

Tickets for the Go Wild party cost £5 each and can be purchased online or from Sarafina on Water Lane. All proceeds from the event will go to Teenage Cancer Trust and Manchester Childrens Hospital.
