Alderley Edge Luncheon Club continued with their 50th birthday celebrations this week when thirty five people sat down to a lunch of roast lamb with all the trimmings on Tuesday April 1st.

All luncheon club members took home chocolate eggs and chicks and the lucky raffle winners also had a pretty primrose plant as well.

Anne Bale, luncheon club manager, welcomed everyone then Lesley Thompson from royal voluntary service and Joan Heggs, who is a luncheon club member, thanked the volunteers for providing tasty meals on a regular basis and the opportunity for older people to socialise.

Lunches are served on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time at Alderley Edge Methodist Church.

Anyone who would like to join luncheon club either as a member or a volunteer should contact Anne Bale on 01625 582514
