New warnings signs have been installed near on the A34 near Whitehall Bridge Roundabout as part of the efforts of Cheshire Police and Cheshire East Council to tackle illegal car meets.
The signs warn drivers that they risk prosecution for anti-social driving.
A police spokesperson said "The new signs explain that under Section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, you could be issued with a section 59 warning notice for anti-social driving. This includes revving engines, playing loud music and performing hand brake turns.
"If you don't comply with the Section 59 Notice you risk your vehicle being confiscated or destroyed.
"This is one of the many actions we have taken in response to residents' complaints about the disruption and noise these illegal car meets cause."
