Residents meeting called following concerns over plans for 136 new homes off Ryleys Lane

We want your Feedback

Following a high level of concern raised at Councillor Craig Browne's surgery last weekend, he has arranged a dedicated meeting for residents to discuss the Story Homes planning application for up to 136 new homes off Ryleys Lane.

The meeting will take place in the Emerson Suite at the Festival Hall tis Saturday (5th July) between 2 and 3pm.

Craig will also be joined by a number of fellow Alderley Edge Parish Councillors to hear your views and answer questions.

The meeting provides an opportunity to speak directly with local representatives to ensure your voice is heard.

Councillor Vince Fogharty, Alderley Edge Parish Council, said "There is clearly a high strength of feeling around these proposals. The Parish Council urges both those in favour and those with concerns, to attend and have their say at this early stage in the process. We are grateful to Councillor Browne for organising this meeting. Please share with neighbours who may also wish to attend."

It is a real shame, but not unexpected, that Story Homes are not attending this meeting. They don’t care about the local community. They just want to make a shed load of money.
We need to make them care. This project should not be permitted to happen. It will destroy Alderley Edge as we know it and devalue local house prices as well as so many other issues. What are the services available to all of these new people. Schools, healthcare, roads, parking, etc.
What has happened to the old Alderley Edge Plan? Houses built across various sites across the village rather than concentrated in one place. Where are the local jobs for all of these new people? I could rant on but will stop. Story Homes need to hear it. I am concerned that the council will do nothing!
