Local residents have two left to have their say on proposals for up to 136 homes off Ryleys Lane as the deadline has been extended
Story Homes' launched a consultation on their proposals for a new residential development off Ryleys Lane. However, there have been some technical issues with the consultation portal.
Councillor Craig Browne said "I have spoken to Story Homes about this. They have now resolved the problem and agreed to extend the deadline for comments until midnight on Sunday 13th July as a result."
He added "If any further technical issues with the portal arise over the course of the weekend, please be aware that it is possible to submit comments/feedback via their dedicated email address - [email protected]."
The site covers approximately 9.1 hectares of land on the south-western edge of Alderley Edge, between Ryleys Lane and Chelford Road, and incorporates both safeguarded and greenbelt land.
It comprises three parcels of land, two of which are allocated for housing (Parcel A and B) and one for biodiversity net gain (Parcel C). Parcel A, bordered in blue in the map above, has been identified for development in the Local Plan.
The homes will be a mix of terraced, semi-detached and detached homes, including up to 55 affordable homes along with open spaces, children's play areas, integrated pedestrian and cycle links. Access will be via Ryleys Lane and Sutton Road
All responses will be included in a Statement of Community Involvement, which will form part of our planning application to Cheshire East Council. If the plans are approved, Story Homes expect to start work on site in 2026.
