Alderley and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company (AWMTC) are all set to keep the 'Magic of the Musicals' alive at their Spring Concert next month.

Rehearsals are in full swing for the 30 strong talented amateur cast who are made up of a variety of members of all ages and backgrounds. They including amongst them a dog groomer, travel agent and animal rescue worker along with a team of dancers from local dance schools.

'Magic of the Musicals' will also see one of the youngest cast members, Max Fone, aged 20 from Wilmslow make his directing debut. The concert will feature numbers from well-known musicals including 'Singing in the Rain', 'Hairspray' and a medley from Les Miserables.

Max said "I'm very excited to have the opportunity to work with some of the most talented singers and dancers in the area and direct this amazing show. The Spring Concert is a critical event in our calendar as it helps to raise funds towards staging the main show held at Wilmslow Leisure Centre in November. "

The cast will be treating shoppers to a sample of their talents at the Artisan market on Saturday 20th April in Bank Square between 12 and 2pm.

'Magic of the Musicals' is being held at Mottram St Andrew Village Hall on Saturday 11th May at 7:30pm and Sunday 12th May at 2:30pm.

Tickets priced £7.50 can be booked on line at the AWMTC website or by calling the ticket line on 07506 988433.
