Alderley Edge Community Primary School are holding a fundraising event this weekend to help raise funds to upgrade their computer software.

They have organised a puppet show and meal for children aged 3 to 11 at Panacea on Sunday, 12th February.

The school are hoping to raise £3000 to fund the vital upgrade of their software and all associated hardware in school.

Headmaster Chris Perry said "All children have access to netbooks in school, with KS2 having one netbook each which they have access to in every lesson every day hence the cost of the upgrade. This upgrade will ensure that the ICT system continues to run smoothly and efficiently for some time to come."

Alderley Edge Community Primary School have a number of additional events scheduled for later in the year to enable them to reach their £3000 target.

Mr Perry added "We have several smaller fundraising and non-fundraising events planned by the PTA ranging from a Sponsored Spellathon to Discos for the children. Another big fundraising event will be our Summer Fair which will be held on Friday 6th July."

Tickets for Puppet Show cost £15 each and can be purchased from the school, Panacea, Mr Simms, Village Cafe or Rainbow Balloons.

The cost of the ticket includes a children's meal, puppet show and a £10 complimentary Panacea gift voucher. There is a £5 reduction for the 3rd or more child.

Meal and show times are: 12:00, 13.00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00.
