An exciting new event will be held in Alderley Edge this Christmas, bringing the village centre alive with 24 uniquely decorated windows.
The idea behind the 2011 Alderley Edge Adventure, organised by Knights solicitors, is that families can walk around the village seeking the 24 days of advent and enter a fun competition.
Each participating shop window, decorated to a theme of their choice, will be revealed on Thursday, 1st December.
Each window will clearly display their number and local artist Allie Pottinger will design a Christmas themed Alderley Edge map to guide local families on their search.
Competition entry forms and maps, which will be available to download from alderleyedge.com, will include a list of the 24 participating shops with space alongside for children under 16 to write the number each shop is displaying in their window.
The competition ends at midnight on Sunday 18th December so families will have 18 days to complete the entry forms which can be posted through Knights letter box.
Yvonne Allen, Marketing Manager at Knights, explained "The project aims to get local people involved in their community and to have an Advent Adventure in the build up to Christmas.
"The project will also increase the foot flow and give the 24 shops participating the opportunity to create a window wonderland for families in Alderley Edge promoting any seasonal offers, products or services."
Places are strictly limited to 24 shops so local businesses wishing to participate in this exciting new community Christmas event need to register as soon as possible on Knights solicitors website.
Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
