Hike the hill to support local hospice

East Cheshire Hospice's newest event Hike the Hill, is proving to be ever popular with hospice supporters and walk enthusiasts alike.

The Hike, on Sunday 11th September, starts from Blythe House Hospice in Chapel-en-Frith and winds downs to East Cheshire Hospice - taking in 15 miles of beautiful scenery.

A coach from East Cheshire to Blythe House in the morning, or alternatively a return coach late afternoon, is included in the entrance fee of £10. Walkers will also receive sandwich and hot drink upon their return to East Cheshire Hospice and they can choose which hospice they would like to raise funds for.

The walk, sponsored by Orbit Developments, is one of several new events that East Cheshire Hospice are organising this year.

Lara Rigby, Community and Events Fundraiser at the hospice, said "This is an opportunity to take part in a really challenging event whilst not having to travel hundreds of miles to do it.

"Here in Macclesfield we have some amazing scenery on our doorstep that is so often forgotten about. The Hike takes in many of local beauty spots and you get to support your local hospice at the same time."
