Warning over fake raffle tickets

Police are asking residents to be vigilant following the discovery of fake raffle tickets in the village.

Earlier this month a couple of local of residents purchased tickets for a Summer Raffle in aid of Cheshire Colts JFC, which the seller claimed was a junior football team for disabled children.

The tickets were being sold door-to-door in Alderley Edge and the police are advising residents to check for registered charity identification before parting with any money.
