All those who took part had great fun at the Manchester City Soccer School, which took place at Alderley Edge School for Girls over the recent half term holiday.

Girls and boys aged five to fourteen, including competition winners Ben Birch and Morgan Draper, spent time learning vital football skills and team formation. They also played games with UEFA trained City coaches and ex-first team players including Ian Brightwell and Richard Edghill.

The course helps youngsters to develop their existing soccer skills and knowledge, in addition to providing health and fitness advice. The children completed a football diary and several lucky youngsters were awarded merit prizes for their time on the course.

Mike Haughton, Sports Development Manager at the Club commented, "The girls and boys who participated on the course had a great time, some joined us for a day or two and others for the full week. Everyone had fun and learnt new skills so we had a very successful week at Alderley Edge School for Girls."
