Permission in principle is being sought for a new residential development in Great Warford.

Liverpool based Thomas Jones and Sons is seeking to build nine homes at Great Warford Storage Park on Ancoats Lane.

The proposed dwellings would replace existing commercial storage (Class B8) buildings that currently exist on the site.

The 0.73 hectare site lies within the Green Belt and once formed part of an agricultural complex, with the buildings being turkey rearing sheds, operating as 'Brandon's Poultry Farm'.

The supporting planing statement states "The principle of the development is appropriate on land within the Green Belt that is previously developed.

There are no development constraints arising from the location of the site that carry significant weight against the proposal, taking into account that policies which are most important for determining the application are out-of-date. Therefore, the location is acceptable in the context of relevant planning policies.

The Permission in Principle application can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council planning portal by searching for planning reference 25/2450/PIP.

Further details regarding the layout, scale and density of the development will be provided for approval at technical details stage.
