Pupils from Alderley Edge Community Primary School were invited to attend a special Tesco for Schools and Clubs presentation at the Handforth Extra store last Friday as a thank you for taking part in this year's scheme.

George Osborne was guest of honour at the presentation, which was attended by Mrs Lindsey Walsh, Deputy Headteacher, and two children on behalf of the school.

Harry and Olivia received a box of goodies for the school, containing art materials, sports and ICT equipment, which was presented as a thank you from the store in addition to the huge amount of equipment and materials Alderley Edge Community Primary School had received as part of the scheme.

Headteacher Chris Perry said "I would like to say many thanks to all our parents, their families and friends and lots of members of the community who helped us collect over 30,000 vouchers last year.

"This bought a huge variety of additional equipment for our school, from small items like table tennis bats and playground balls to larger items like hockey sets and a large outdoor play tunnel for our reception class."
