Alderley Edge School for Girls is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mrs Alison Barber as the new Nursery and Pre-School Manager. As a much-loved previous member of the AESG community, Mrs Barber returns to AESG to share her wealth of experience in Early Years education and her passion for fostering young minds. She is ideally positioned to continue providing exceptional care and educational experiences for the children in her charge.
In addition to this exciting leadership appointment, we are thrilled to reveal that Alderley Edge School for Girls Nursery & Pre-School will soon be operating all-year-round, offering continuous care and its outstanding educational curriculum for girls throughout the entire calendar year. This new initiative, launching soon, will bring a host of benefits to families, including:
Convenience and Flexibility: Parents can now enjoy peace of mind knowing their daughter will have consistent, reliable care for 50 weeks of the year, including during school holidays and breaks, making it a perfect solution for working families.
Consistency for Children: Year-round care ensures a stable, nurturing environment where children can continue to grow and thrive throughout the year, promoting emotional, academic and developmental consistency.
Enhanced Learning Opportunities: With uninterrupted access to our enriching Early Years curriculum, our girls will experience a more structured and continuous educational journey, helping them reach their full potential.
Safety of all pupils: Unlike many Early Years settings, all of AESG's Nursey & Pre-School staff are paediatric first aid trained by The Millie's Trust. This provides reassurance for parents that their daughters are being looked after all year round by the highest quality, trained staff.
On her recent appointment, Mrs Barber said: "I am absolutely thrilled to be returning to Alderley Edge School for Girls as the new Nursery & Pre-School Manager. Having previously worked with such a dedicated team, I'm excited to reconnect with familiar faces and build upon the strong foundation that is already in place. I look forward to continuing to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment where every child can thrive, while also working closely with parents to support their daughter's development every step of the way."
In its recent Independent Schools Inspection, all standards were met in the Early Years, which makes it stand out as an exceptional Early Years provision locally. Inspectors commented: "Leaders' deep understanding of the needs of very young children informs all of the provision." Also, inspectors fed back that "Staff in the Early Years know the children well. Their needs are identified quickly when they join the school and are met fully. High quality interactions with staff, and well-chosen activities, help children to make good progress."
This excellent report gives parents the reassurance that they know they are choosing a high-quality provision where girls achieve exceptionally well academically and are looked after with the upmost care at all times.
Mrs. Wood, Headmistress of Alderley Edge School for Girls, said: "We are delighted to offer year-round care to our families. We understand the challenges that parents face in securing high-quality reliable childcare during the school holidays and we are committed to providing the support and continuity that every family needs. Our new provision will ensure that girls continue to experience our nurturing environment and academic excellence all year long."
Parents are invited to take a personal tour of the Early Years, and they encourage parents to register their interest by emailing [email protected]. The school will keep families up to date with launch information, staffing, educational programmes and opportunities as this exciting initiative continues to unfold.
