A woman died after being hit by a train near Wilmslow Station on Monday, 29th May.
Emergency services attended the incident at 11.17am and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said "Officers were called to the line near Wilmslow railway station at 11.17am on 29 May following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
