Two teenagers charged in connection with stabbing in Wilmslow

Detectives investigating the stabbing of a man outside an address in Wilmslow have charged two teenagers in connection with the incident.

Cameron Newman, 19, from Beresford Road, Manchester was charged with attempted murder and possession of a class B drug (cannabis).

A 17-year-old from Wilmslow, who cannot be named due to legal reasons, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

The charges relate to a 25-year-old man being stabbed outside an address on Foden Walk at around 12.49am on 24 January.

The man was taken hospital while officers, with the help of Alliance police dogs, made a search of the area.

Two teenagers, aged 17 and 19, were located nearby and arrested.

Both teenagers will appear at Chester Magistrates on 25 January.
