Cheshire East Council have confirmed that those residents whose bins were not collected on January 18th and 19th, due to challenging weather conditions, will have them collected next week - on the next scheduled collection date for those bins.

A spokesperson for Cheshire East Council said "Despite the challenging weather conditions across the borough, bin collections continued to take place this week where there was safe access.

"Where challenging weather and road surfaces would compromise the safety of our employees, residents, and other road users, conditions meant we were unable to access the bins to empty them safely.

"In some areas, on 18 and 19 January, it was not possible to fully complete bin collection rounds due to the severe conditions. This was worse in Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Macclesfield, Bollington, Prestbury, Wilmslow and Knutsford, and we are unable to get back to make collections prior to the next scheduled collection day."

But the bins aren't collected every week - it's every two weeks so what do they mean by:

"...will have them collected next week - on the next scheduled collection date for those bins..."

Andy, the bins should have been collected last week (18th or 19th January) so they will be collected next week (1st or 2nd February), two weeks after they missed which ison the next scheduled collection date.

Thanks Lisa. Not a very good service from Ansa then. Let's hope it doesn't snow again.
