A 12-year-old poet from Wilmslow returned to her primary school recently to plant a Cherry Blossom Tree for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

Ebony Errington-Beech visited Alderley Edge Community Primary on May 20th to plant the tree she donated with the proceeds from her poetry book.

Ebony said "It was such a lovely tree planting ceremony and I felt honoured to be part of it.

Afterwards, Ebony joined in the Jubilee Celebrations and read one of her poems to the whole school. She was also joined by one of her previous teachers and talked about writing poetry and dealing with dyslexia.

She added "I hope this tree brings lots of joy to many who attend the primary school now and for generations to come.

"Alderley Edge Community Primary gave me so much and everyone there made such a positive impact, they were a huge part of my journey. I am incredibly grateful to them all."
