The Alderley Edge May Fair returned weekend and for the first time it took place over two evenings.
On Friday the evening of music and sport suffered from some heavy showers, but a resilient group stayed on in the park, and more gathered later when the showers had passed.
In the five-a-side football tournament the trophy went to the Fat Dads of Wilmslow, after which local bands performed on the main stage.
On Saturday the fair started with a parade through the village, featuring the May Queen, Lyra, and her attendants Ember and Harris. In the park the entertainment included the fairground, Samba band, Titan the Robot, Leopold's Performing Ponies, Malteaser the Clown, the dog show, an artisan market, street food, vintage DJs, local dance acts.
Whilst music was provided by Wilmslow High, the Alderley Edge Primary School Choir, The Company, Siren Sounds, Renata, The Recliners and Jenem, finishing with Madonna and Lady Gaga show.
Committee chairperson Paul Marshall said "The committee worked so hard and I would like to thank everyone who helped with the planning, the road closures and the management of the fair over the weekend.
"It's a great opportunity to bring all the generations together. Hopefully we can all meet up again next week during the Jubilee celebrations."
