Burglary on Sutton Road after failure to access neighbouring property

Police were called to reports of an attempted burglary at an address on Sutton Road in Alderley Edge at 9pm on Saturday, 19th February.

The caller reported hearing a loud bang on the window. After going to investigate they discovered that an unknown person was attempting to gain entry into the address. The suspect fled the scene after realising that the occupants were at home and made off in an unknown vehicle.

A short time later, at 9.30pm, police were called to reports of a burglary at a neighbouring property on Sutton Road. Officers attended and found that an unknown person had gained entry via a rear door. It is unknown if any items were stolen.

A police spokesperson said "Enquiries in relation to the incidents are ongoing and anyone with any information in relation to the incident are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police at www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, or call 101, quoting IML 1205757."
