The Alderley Edge May Fair will return this coming weekend, albeit slightly later than usual.
The ever popular event will kick off at 5pm on Friday, 10th September, in Alderley Park for five a side football and a junior fun run. Throughout the evening there will be the fun fair, street food, live music, a licensed bar and the headline act UK Bjorn.
Saturday will be jam packed full of family fun, from the parade on London road which starts at 11am followed by fun and games in the park from 12noon. With live music acts, over 80 artisan market stalls, a street food arena, dog show, fun fair, workshops, dance, exhibits and drinks from the licensed bars.
Paul Marshall, Organising Committee, said ''We are all pleased that after two false starts we can put The May Fair on again. From the conversations that I have had in the village, plenty of people are looking forward to enjoying each others' company again. With the usual mix of sports, music, market stalls, the parade, fairground rides, dog show and local community groups we hope that there will be plenty going on for every generation. ''
