Pownall Hall School in Wilmslow is currently recruiting a well-qualified and experienced 6 months to 2 Room Manager to run its new Baby Room, as well as Room Practitioners to join its EYFS team.
Our excellent Wilmslow based Preparatory School, is expanding its Early Years provision and will be opening a new nursery for children aged 6 months to 2 years in January 2022.
The new 'Woodland Room' will share the same ethos of the hugely successful Hygge inspired Nursery for children aged 2 to 3 and will provide a nurturing environment for its youngest pupils; a place full of warmth, natural resources and a strong focus on happiness and wellbeing.
The role of the Room Manager is to provide professional leadership and management to the staff team and to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
You will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or preferably above, have experience of working in a busy nursery setting and understand and ensure the requirements of the EYFS and Ofsted are met.
Essential for all applicants:
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding Policies and Procedures for under 2s in line with school policies and procedures, and Government guidance including KCSiE
Excellent knowledge and experience of providing quality provision for babies and young children
Experience with under 2's including Key Person responsibilities and duty of care responsibilities
Ability to demonstrate and apply a strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
Ability to plan for children's individual needs and progress tracking
Ability to write quality observations and reports using appropriate ICT skills
Ability to work as part of a team, and to follow and embed whole school initiatives
The Room Manager will demonstrate excellent leadership qualities, liaise across the EYFS and be able to work as part of a successful, happy team
