It has been a long time since there has been live music at Alderley Edge Methodist Church, but organisers are hopeful that the government's roadmap will not hit any unwanted diversions, and that normal service can be resumed from 21st June.

The performing arts sector has been badly hit by the pandemic, and organisers are keen to resume concerts as soon as possible. Therefore they will be a Musical Celebration by students from Chetham's School of Music on Wednesday 23rd June at 2 pm.

Tea and Cake will be available after the performance.

Jean Walker said "We have worked regularly with Chets since 2004, and have been in awe of the consistently high standard of performance by these young musicians. I am sure our concert in June will be no exception!

"The students are eager to resume live performance and we as a church can't wait to welcome them back along with our loyal band of music-lovers who so enjoy the recitals.

There is no admission charge, but we ask for donations, either on the day or by bacs: Account name: Alderley Edge Methodist Church, Sort Code: 08-92-99, Account No: 65988141, Reference: Concert.

How lovely...the other half will be there to enjoy some well loved concerts and a return to normality.
