Plans have been submitted to change the use of a shed in the village centre to create a new village shop.

That Refill Place (to be rebranded The Village Green) has applied to change the use of The Shed at 36 South Street from storage (which was last used in January 2021) to an eco-friendly refill store selling sustainably sourced, organic and plastic free products including groceries, household essentials and health and beauty ranges.

The company also intends to sell juices, smoothies and other non-alcoholic beverages for takeaway only. The premises will also be used to pick, pack and despatch online orders.

The proposed opening hours are 9am to 5pm on Monday to Sunday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday and Bank Holidays.

The plans can be viewed on the Cheshire East Council Planning Portal by searching for planning reference 21/2094M.
