Two youths have been issued with warnings after throwing stones and eggs at houses backing on to Alderley Edge park.

A resident of Redesmere Drive confronted three youths, aged 13 to 15, who had been throwing stones at his house at about 3.30pm on Friday, 9th February. This incident was not reported to police at the time and the youths subsequently went away.

However, at approximately 4pm on Monday 12th February the same youths returned and threw some eggs which hit a neighbouring property to the informants. He went out to confront them and they made off, so he followed them a short distance and witnessed them enter an address.

Police attended and identified two males who were subsequently spoken to in the presence of their parents and issued with yellow cards.

Wilmslow Community Sergeant John O'Driscoll said "These are a referral mechanism to our ASB team and are monitored. Details are recorded and 'repeat' offenders are identified at an early stage and interventions can be put in place before they become criminalised."

Depends on how good the parents are. Mine would have made the police preferable when I was 13!

What a tough job, Cheshire police (box ticking force)have to do. Well worth the extra 5%.
