Throughout the Autumn Term, pupils at The Ryleys School have been collecting food items and hampers in celebration of their annual Harvest Festival.
The response has been overwhelming and hundreds of food items have been packaged up and delivered to various food banks in Manchester by the local Salvation Army team. A selection of hampers were picked out and were hand delivered by pupils at The Ryleys to local elderly, Alderley Edge residents.
Mrs Julia Langford, Head Teacher said: "As you can tell from the photos the residents were delighted with their hampers and very touched that we have thought about them at this time of year."
