No parking on part of London Road for 5 days

Parking on a section of London Road will be suspended for five days next week.

A parking bay suspension will be in place between the junction with Brown Street and the junction with Chapel Street from Wednesday, 26th July, to Sunday, 30th July to enable Electricity North West to carry out electrical works.

We believe these works are part of the £1.7m upgrade to the power network in Wilmslow, Handforth, Chelford and Alderley Edge which will start on Monday, 24th July and take approximately 17 weeks - resulting in a number of road closures and traffic lights throughout the summer.

So with the road having been dug up yesterday and parking restrictions in place its good to see the men hard at work this morning (Thursday 10am). Perhaps its just a little early and they are having a sleep in.
