Waitrose have made some changes to the car park at The Parade this week which are designed to reduce the congestion at the entrance and exit to the car park.

Four car parking spaces were removed on Tuesday, 11th August and the work was completed within an hour without the need to close the car park.

A spokesperson for Waitrose said "By removing four spaces cars are now able to pass each other without having to wait for one to pass, therefore stopping the queue that can build up as people try to get in or out of the car park.

"Availability and congestion has eased significantly with the changes we have made recently and most customers have responded well. We are always looking at how we can improve the customer's shopping experience and still hope to reconfigure the layout at some point in the future."
