Cheshire East Council is proposing to ban parking on a stretch of Lynton Lane where parked vehicles have been causing an obstruction.
The Council is proposing to make an Order that will prohibit vehicles from waiting or parking on the western side of Lynton Lane, from its junction with Davey Lane for a distance of 135 metres in a northerly direction, and on the eastern side from a point 55 metres north of its junction with Davey Lane for a distance of 13 metres in a northerly direction.
A spokesperson for Cheshire East Council said "The proposal has been identified as a ward priority and relates to problems caused by vehicles parked on both sides of Lynton Lane.
"These vehicles have been observed parking across dropped crossings causing obstruction for wheelchair and mobility scooter access. The parking has also caused problems for waste collections from the retirement flats as the vehicle has been unable to make the turn to collect bins because of obstructive parking on the opposite side of the road.
"The proposal has the support of the Ward Member and the local Parish Council.
"It is therefore deemed necessary in the interests of highway safety to introduce a prohibition and restriction of waiting to alleviate these problems and keep the area clear of parked vehicles. "
If you wish to object to the proposed Order, or any provisions contained within it, or make any other representations, you may do so in writing to Mr R Welch, Cheshire East Highways, 6th Floor, c/o Municipal Buildings, Earle Street, Crewe, CW1 2BJ by 18th December.

Here's what readers have had to say so far. Why not add your thoughts below.
This has been described to CE people on more than one occasion. If any of the Officers or Councillors read this, please re-visit the scheme!
The plan is perfectly clear.
There are two entrances to the flats on the eastern side of Lynton Lane.
If the second/north entrance, approx. opposite Westholme Court, is not shown, then it will perhaps not have the short yellow lines put there? Thus the problem re. vehicular access etc. may continue?
Alas the plan may not be perfectly clear.

surely you can't object to a dialogue between two parish councillors, which hopefully will ensure that the desired outcome is achieved?
Alas neither of us is quite perfect!
Anyway Claire is quite correct. When have double yellow lines stopped certain types parking.
But nobody seems to have suggested that this is yet another argument in favour of the car park on the Heyes Lane allotments. It must take at least two minutes to walk from here to the allotment car park.
