Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe cordially invites you to a Chocolate Extravaganza & Golden Ticket Event for your chance to win a luxury holiday!
It seems like only yesterday that Dazzle the Clown performed his merry act and the people of Alderley Edge lined the streets wide-eyed and ready to welcome us to the village, now Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe was 2 years old on September 2nd.
Since taking the wrappers off we have been blessed with so many lovely, sweet, friendly customers of all ages and persuasions. Apart from all the yummy treats half the fun of working at Mr Simms is catching up with our regular customers and of course, we love meeting new ones, young and old. Proud to be a traditional shop in a traditional village the staff at Mr Simms wants to say a very big thank you to all our customers who kindly support the shop. For without them, we would certainly not be here!
Sweets are evocative. People frequently tell us how they bring back happy memories, favourite sweets recollected from childhood, their grandparents' much-loved sweets, sweets they associate with day trips, after school treats and treasured happy days. We have decided there is no better way to celebrate our 2nd birthday with you than with lots of chocolate!
On Saturday September 7th we are holding our annual Chocolate tasting Extravaganza with Ken, our very own Chocolatier.
Judy O'Brien said, "We all love holding this event, it is such fun to see the children's faces when they realise they can help themselves to a great big piece of free chocolate! It's a great opportunity for local customers to sample the chocolate."
There will be a marquee at the front of the shop full of chocolate samples for you to taste and try before you buy... yes FREE ... for you to sample all day long! (Well, between 9.30 and 3) Dandelion & Burdock, Iron Brew, Mudslide, Old Jamaica, Cinder Crunch, Rhubarb and Custard, Chocolate Mint Swirl, Orange Surprise, Creamy Caramel, Peanut Butter, Chilli .... and more.
We know how hard it will be for you to choose your flavour, so our chocolate bars will be on offer at 2 for £5. Not only that, but buy one and you could win an amazing prize. Starting on September 7th we will be running the Golden Ticket. Any customer who buys a bar of our delicious chocolate could be in with the chance of winning a £20 voucher to spend in store. There will be one voucher per week and the lucky winner will find the winning ticket inside their truly scrumdidlyumptious bar!
This year courtesy of Natural Retreats we also have a STAR prize! One of the 4 winning bars will contain a voucher for a 3 night break in a Luxury Lodge in either Cornwall, the Yorkshire Dales or the Scottish Highlands. (Retreats for up to seven people depending on location, subject to blackout dates and availability.)
