Alderley Edge Cricket Club's U18s beat Woodford Cricket Club's U18s at Moss Lane on Friday, 3rd August, to progress through to the semi finals of the South Manchester JCL 20/20 cup.
Batting first Alderley scored 159 in 20 overs with Ethan Harding and Luke Wolstenholme putting on 130 for the first wicket, on a lively wicket.
Woodford struggled against the accurate pace bowling of Alex Gill who bowled his 4 overs for just 11 runs. The opposition finished on 87 for 8 with Ethan starring with the ball as well as bat taking 4 wickets for 3 runs.
The U18s will play the winners of Poynton v Whalley Range in the semi-final.
