On Monday 14th, I attended the Annual Parish Meeting which was followed by the Annual Parish Council Meeting and Alderley Edge Parish Council's monthly meeting.

Since then I have reported on some of the issues raised at the meeting, including members of the public demanding that they have their say at the annual meeting for residents, plans for the Jubilee Big Lunch and the Parish Council's disapproval that they are no longer being consulted about licence applications.

I have also published the Alderley Edge Parish Council Chairman's Report 2012, the Parish Council Finance Report 2012 and provided a link to Cllr Frank Keegan's annual planning report.

Other issues discussed included reviewing standing orders, the condition of local roads and pavements and the closure of the A34 bypass to enable National Grid to carry out works to the electricity pylons and lines.

The minutes of this month's Parish Council meetings are now available, click here to read about all the local issues covered.

The Alderley Edge Parish Council meet once a month, with the exception of August. All meetings are open to the public and are held in the Council Chamber at the Festival Hall. Dates and further details for the forthcoming meetings can be found in our events section.
