Wilmslow Town Council has, regrettably, cancelled Cinema on the Carrs, which was due to take place this Saturday, 7th June 2025.
Wilmslow Town Mayor, Councillor Sally Harrison, said "We are very sorry to say that we have decided to cancel Cinema on the Carrs.
"The safety of our residents is paramount and, with a consistent forecast of heavy rain combined with lightning, the risks of proceeding with the event are too great to continue.
"The outdoor location is what makes Cinema on the Carrs, but this also means that we are at the mercy of the British weather which, disappointingly, has let us down on this occasion.
"We apologise to those who were looking forward to the event; please look out for news of future Wilmslow Town Council community events."
