Road closure and speed restrictions on A34 bypass continue next week

The speed restrictions on the A34 bypass and road closure for Pendleton Way will continue next week.

These works are now scheduled to take place between the following dates:

Line Removal: Friday 16th May 2025 to Saturday 17th May 2025
Surface Dressing: Tuesday 20th May 2025 to Wednesday 21st May 2025 ( 09:00:16:00 )
Lock Chip: Wednesday 28th May 2025 to Thursday 29th May 2025 ( night works )
Sweeping: Tuesday 20th May 2025 ( 22:00-23:00 )
Lining: To be confirmed

The speed restriction during the works will be 20mph.

Why waste money on this when there are SO many potholes in the surrounding area!

Apparently the numpties at Ringway Jacobs are paying to address a cock up from last year. The diversion in place for the closure of southbound lanes of the A34 between Wilmslow and Alderley today is a 40 minute round trip through Prestbury and Macc'!!! This closure turned Heyes Lane into the replacement dual carriagewayas folk don't want the 40 minutes round trip. With the result we now have nonstop traffic going well above 30mph and huge lorries over the weight limit. We thought this misery was to end at midnight tonight but it looks like Ringway is forcing us to suffer another 29 hours. Can any Councillors confirm uf this is correct?

Is this repair not free as it was not done correctly in the first place ?
