Alderley Edge's 36 hole Hospital Trophy was concluded on Saturday, May 20th, with Junior Captain Dan Featherstone winning with excellent scores of 67 and 68 = 135. He plays off 15 handicap. Second was Ken Hall with a total of 138.
The magnificent art deco Hospital Trophy was inaugurated in 1931 as a means of raising funds for the Alderley Edge Cottage Hospital. Today, proceeds go to the Captain's chosen charity, this year the East Cheshire Hospice.
Next Sunday, 27th May, the club holds an open day for anyone interested in taking up the game or for golfers interested in what their local club has to offer. It starts at 1pm and runs till 5pm. Full details at www.aegc.co.uk
