Brookview Nursing and Residential Centre kick started their themed week of 'Favourite Games' with a visit from year 6 students at Alderley Edge School for Girls.

The girls enjoyed traditional playground games with the residents including 'Oranges and lemons', 'The big ship sails on the Alley-Alley-Oh' and ran through a combination of old and more recent hand clapping and singing games.

School Chaplain Mary Hostler congratulated the girls for creating such a fun and lively atmosphere in the lounge.

Joanne Angell-Sedgwick, Activities Co-ordinator at Brookview added, "The girls were fantastic when they came in to work with the residents, they all introduced themselves and the games in clear loud voices and the residents all joined in with the games they could.

"The girls also left chocolates and flowers for the residents to enjoy after they had left which was a nice surprise. We all had a really lovely time and we look forward to welcoming the school again soon."
