Alderley Road to close for resurfacing

Local residents travelling to Wilmslow this week should note that Alderley Road will be closed to through traffic from Thursday, 11th August.

The road will be closed from the entrance to Royal London Assurance to the junction with the B5086 Fulshaw Park Roundabout, to enable the carriageway to be resurfaced.

The closure will last for a maximum of five days but it is anticipated that the road will be closed for two days.

The alternative route for all traffic will be via the A34 Handforth By Pass; A538 Mill Street, Manchester Road and Alderley Road; B5086 Alderley Road, C466 Alderley Road or vice versa.

Road repair works will then continue the following week between the entrance to Royal London and the A34 Harden Park Roundabout where temporary lights will be installed. These works will be completed by Friday 19th August.
