Alderley Edge Scout Group have been out in the community raising money for charity.
The scouts work closely with Sainsbury in Wilmslow and last month they spent a day packing bags in the store to raise money for JJ's Sensory Play Centre in Macclesfield.
Each year Sainsbury's select a local charity which they support for the 12 months and this year it is the turn of JJ's Sensory. The play centre in Macclesfield is a unique charity offering a multi-sensory facility for children and young people with special needs.
On Saturday, 19th February, Alderley scouts raised £430 for the charity, which followed on from their collection in October last year when the troop raised a fantastic £1200 when they spent both the Saturday and Sunday packing bags for the supermarket customers.
Group Scout Leader Nigel Hine said "We did this as part of Make a Difference day when Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from all over the country join in to help someone or make a difference within their community."
