Having celebrated their 50th concert in June, the 7th season of Lunchtime Concerts at Alderley Edge Methodist Church will commence on Wednesday 15th September with a recital by piano students from Chetham's School of Music in Manchester.

The recital will be the first of a series of concerts, which will take place on the third Wednesday of each month, and see an exciting variety of instrumentalists perform.

Since the first series began in October 2004, students from the prestigious Chetham's and Royal Northern College of Music have performed over 6 concert seasons along with a variety of free-lance musicians.

Proceeds from the 2009-2010 concerts have enabled Alderley Edge Methodist Church to make donations to the following charitable organisations: East Cheshire Hospice, Genesis Breast Cancer, Haiti Emergency Fund, MRDF Nightstop, Stockport Shelter, "Time for the Future" Spire Appeal and Wilmslow Wells.

Admission is by programme at the door, priced £3.50 with light lunches, available from 12 noon, charged separately. Further information is available on 01625 584410 or 01625 584367.

The September concert has been generously sponsored by The Emerson Foundation, and from the proceeds, a donation will be given to The Tricia Drucker Memorial Fund, which aims to provide funds for 'The Relief of Poverty'.
