Police are currently investigating an incident which took place on Tuesday 17th December at Sainsbury's car park in Wilmslow, where an unknown male was posed as a parking attendant and informing people that the ticket machine was broken.
PCSO Gamble said "The unknown man has pretended to help purchase a parking ticket and this has ended up with him taking the victims' bank card.
"Please note traffic wardens will never ask you to pay them directly for parking tickets or fines.
"Please be vigilant whilst using the car parks. Any suspicious person or vehicle can be reported via 101 or 999 in an emergency."
