A social club offering local residents the opportunity to enjoy a cuppa and cake has proved to be a resounding success.
CommuniTea, which meets weekly at the Festival Hall is celebrating its one year anniversary.
The group gathers every Monday from 1.30pm till 3pm all year round and enjoy complimentary tea, coffee and the odd cake or biscuit.
Councillor Kristina Hulme said "It has been a fabulous year, friendships have been made, Monday blues have been banished, strong community links have been forged as we welcome around 40 guests each week."
They have enjoyed the occasional quiz, music, singing, along with regular items from the History Group and guest speakers from all over the village.
Councillor Kristina Hulme added "We are also looking forward to Rev'd Robin Pye popping in to chat about the St. Elizabeth fund we have in the village to help families in need. We recently held a MacMillan coffee afternoon and raised a fantastic sum of money."
Local residents of all ages and backgrounds are welcome to gather in a relaxed setting over a cup of coffee at 1.30pm every Monday
