Local resident Mat Lowery has successfully defended his British Open racketball title, retaining his Over 45 Masters title for the 3rd consecutive year.
The British Open took place across two days, from October 5th to the 6th in Sheffield. The competition brings together all the best racketball players in the country, but as this is the Open event it is also open to players from outside the UK.
Mat Lowery said "I'm really pleased to have defended my title, and to have won it now for 3 consecutive years is very pleasing. This was probably the toughest one to win, so made it extra special to have come through it."
