Coggles closes its doors with store to undergo refurbishment

The Coggles store on London Road has closed nearly seven years after it opened in the former Nat West bank, selling a selection of luxury menswear, womenswear, homeware and beauty products.

The closure follows the announcement in June 2024 that Frasers Group had acquired THG's luxury goods websites, including Coggles, for an undisclosed ammount.

According to the Coggles website its flagship 4000 sq. ft. store is now permanently closed and a notice in the shop window says "This store has now closed for refurbishment. Please visit our website Flannels.com".

Frasers' future plans for the building remain unclear, at the time of publication we are awaiting confirmation from the company as to whether a Flannels store will be opening in the village, and if so when.

Founded in 1976 in the north of England, Flannels now operates over 50 stores across the UK stocking a selection of women's and men's wear, accessories and footwear as well as junior and beauty collections.

It will be opening as a Flannels as the sign was going up this morning.
