Gardens Day proves a great success

The recent Wilmslow Wells for Africa (WWfA) Gardens Day was another great success raising almost £17,000 to help provide clean water and sanitation across some of the poorest areas of Africa.

Chairman, David Cash, commented "I am delighted that once again, Gardens Day was a great success even though the weather was less sunny and dry as in previous year. There was a tremendous range of ideas on display across the seventeen gardens and it was clear that most of the people visiting them were having a very enjoyable day. Most importantly, there are a number of extremely worthwhile projects seeking pour support at the current time.

"The income from Gardens Day combined with that from the Wilmslow Wells Challenge earlier in the summer means that will be able to support a good number of them, providing clean water and sanitation to many people living in remote African communities."
