Planning permission granted for AESG

EYFS Canopy visual 4

Alderley Edge School for Girls is delighted to announce further development of the Early Years department within the Junior School. The development will provide access to a new outdoor facility which includes a canopy to provide an all-weather outdoor provision, a new kitchen facility and a shared cloakroom area for children in Nursery and Reception classes.

Work is due to commence during the summer holidays to ensure minimum disruption to school life and is set to be finished for the start of the next school term.

Mr Lawrence Groves, Headmaster of the Junior School commented, “This is an exciting development for the Junior School and our youngest children will really benefit from the new provision. In February 2009, the Inspectors Report commended us for being an outstanding school but we took heed of their recommendation to further improve our Early Years area for our children and look forward to seeing the results in September.”

The school is offering parents and the local community the opportunity to see the plans, and learn more about us at our Junior School ‘Open Doors, Open Morning’ on Wednesday 9 June from 09.30am – 12.00 noon. For further information please contact Julie Bedigan, School Registrar on 01625 583028 or by email.
