New weekend bus services will be added to routes across Cheshire East from next month.

These services, funded by Cheshire East Council through the government's Bus Service Improvement Plan, have been chosen to enable as many of the borough's key towns and villages to have better public transport access for seven days a week as possible.

They will also enable more essential journeys to both the major hospitals in the borough – Macclesfield District General Hospital and Leighton Hospital in Crewe.

From 3rd June new Sunday and Bank holidays will be introduced on the 130 route between Macclesfield, Alderley Edge, Wilmslow and Handforth. Though the new services will not to Wythenshawe and Manchester Airport as they do Monday to Saturdays.

These journeys will be operated by High Peak Buses, but D&G Bus day, weekly and season tickets will be accepted.
