With under two weeks to go, the Waters Wilmslow Running Festival is looking to be in great shape ahead of race date and is going to be a sell out.
The ever popular Wilmslow Half Marathon returns for its 40th year on Sunday March 24th.
Once again, along with the headline act, which kicks off at the earlier time of 9.30am, the Festival features the Asics 10k race along with a fun run.
Nick Bishop said "As always, we are delighted to welcome back our regular runners and equally excited to welcome everyone new to the race...The newer 10k distance being a great way to
step up for the parkrun community. Pacers for a variety of time bands will be running. Something for everyone. We want to embrace the community and celebrate all things Wilmslow!
He added "Returning this year is Dennis Kipkemboi from Kenya...a possible winner? Could the course record be under threat (61.54)."
The chosen charity this year is CRY (Cardiac arrest in the Young).
The Wilmslow Running Festival is itself a Charity and working each year with charity partners has raised more than a million pounds.
