Two men who were arrested in Alderley Edge on Wednesday, have been charged with going equipped to steal from vehicles. These arrests are linked to the investigation into the theft of parts of car exhaust systems which we reported at the beginning of the week.
John Paul Mongan, aged 25, from Oak Street, Northwich and Thomas Garrard Stokes, aged 33, from Nixon Drive, Winsford appeared in court at Macclesfield yesterday, May 6th, and were remanded on bail for a week.
They were accused of having in their possession on May 5th power tools, a trolley jack, an angle grinder and latex gloves for use in the course of theft from motor vehicles.
