A pizza restaurant which closed a year ago is re-opening under new management next week.

Dizzy Dough will be taking over the London Road property which was previously occupied by Les Deux and has remained vacant since last summer.

It is a new venture for Andrew Dillon from Wilmslow who also runs two Poggenpohl kitchen showrooms in Alderley Edge and Wilmslow.

Speaking about why he decided to open a restaurant in Alderley Edge, Andrew told me "It was there and it used to be a pizza restaurant. Residents raved about the pizzas coming out of this lovely oven.

"I know the guy who used to run it, he has restaurants in Manchester, and it had gone on the back burner s their attention was elsewhere so I decided to approach them. I looked at it and it's got a really good vibe."

Alongside pizzas and cocktails they will be serving salads and a selection of different flavoured chicken wings, including hot wings which requires the customer to sign a disclaimer and put rubber gloves on - with a prize for anyone who manages to finish all three of the super hot wings.

Dizzy Dough, which Andrew describes as having as a "fun, relaxed environment" opens on Sunday, 10th September, and will then close for two days before reopening on Wednesday 13th. Going forward the restaurant will be open six days a week, closed on Tuesdays.
