Two teenagers arrested after 25-year-old stabbed in Wilmslow

Police were called to an address in Benbrook Grove, Wilmslow following reports of an injured man at 12.49am on Tuesday, 24th January.

On arrival officers found a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to his chest? The man was taken hospital while officers, with the help of Alliance police dogs, made a search of the area.

Two teenage men, aged 17 and 19, were located nearby and arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.

Enquiries are continuing and they remain in custody at this time.

DI John O'Driscoll said: "I understand the community will be concerned about this incident, and I would like to reassure resident that this is an isolated incident, and we have two suspects under arrest.

"We have increased patrols to in the area and I urge anyone with any concerns to speak to an officer.

"Anyone who has any information but has not yet spoken to police should contact us so that we can progress with our enquiries."
